Peer Mentoring Program

The school year may be ending, but we are already looking to the future. Nine outstanding Juniors have been carefully selected to become the Peer Mentors for the new school year. The application process is rigorous involving academic and discipline review, reflection questions, interviews, and letters of recommendations. Once the process had been completed, our Campus Ministry Leaders were off to the Ramapo Mountains to begin their intensive three day training, which is held in three separate intervals.

THE PEER MENTORING PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO WELCOME OUR INCOMING FRESHMAN INTO THE BENEDICTINE ACADEMY COMMUNITY.

At Benedictine Academy, we are more than a College-Preparatory High School. We are a true Prep Academy with a formation program that transforms our students into strong leaders with a love of learning. Our young girls learn to listen with the ear of their hearts to the Spirit of God empowering them to make sound moral, ethical decisions and to become global leaders of change for the betterment of our world. Perhaps more importantly, they graduate as beautiful young women of God. This is every parent's unspoken hope and dream for their daughters.

The ten hour workshop included team building, diversity training, communication skills, confidentiality, and prayer. The key distinguishing factor of Benedictine Academy's Peer Mentoring Program is that it is a Ministry, not a service club. The Peer Mentors, following in the footsteps of St. Paul, form small communities of faith within the freshmen class, to offer encouragement, guidance, friendship and support.
