National Human Trafficking PREVENTION Day

President Barack Obama recently said in a speech declaring January as National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month, "We as a country recommit to bringing an end to this inexcusable human rights abuse."
In response to this directive, we gathered as a school community and the Globe Changers spoke about the continued gross violation of human rights against our brothers and sisters in America and across the globe.  Students were invited to take a pledge and make a donation to help raise awareness and stop this modern day form of slavery.  WOMEN AND CHILDREN AND MEN ARE "NOT FOR SALE"!

Ariana reflects, "I thought that Abraham Lincoln Abolished slavery in 1860.  I’ve realized that it’s the job of our generation to Re-Abolish slavery. It is very real."

Something you can do? Post the UN Blue Heart on your Facebook, blog, or twitter, to show your support in the Anti-Slavery movement =) It is meant to represent the sadness of the victims and the coldness of the offenders.
