NJ Governor's Award

This past weekend, our SHAC Club (Students Helping All Children) and PBJ Team (Peace & Justice Club) were honored with nineteen other young people/groups in New Jersey for the Make Service Count Challenge sponsored by the Star Ledger and Jefferson Awards. It was an amazing time for our student leaders to receive recognition for their outstanding volunteer efforts in addressing two serious injustices in our country and across the globe - child slave labor and bullying.

God being a God of surprises added to the excitement when they announced that Mrs. Michalski, their Campus Minister, received the Outstanding Mentor of the Year Award. All of this translates into Benedictine Academy being an A+ Leadership School in forming students who are Global Leaders of Change in making our world a better place. "Character, Critical Thinking, Determination and Compassionate Hearts are the key attributes of a Benedictine Student", says C0-Leader Sr. Donna Jo Repetti, OSF.
